Professor Malcolm McLeod is a chemist at the Research School of Chemistry, Australian National University with research interests that include medicinal chemistry and the development of new chemical and analytical technologies to study drugs and drug metabolism. He led the chemistry teams at Australia’s first government sanctioned trials of drug checking held at festivals in 2018 and 2019 and the CanTEST Health and Drug Checking Service from July 2022 to the present. He also serves as advisor to Pill Testing Australia on the use of analytical technologies for drug checking.
